Have you ever noticed how hard it is to find the right person in government (or any other organization for that matter!) to help you make your idea a reality. Fix this, tweak that, wouldn't it be good if...

Well Social Innovation Match Making DC will help to fill that gap!

Working with DC's OCTO team and Hub DC, we're running an event to connect people with ideas to people can offer support to make those ideas a reality - for social good in the city.

Whether it's a new way of using the web, a new idea for a non-profit or just to get a frustration off you chest and look for people to work with to fix it, this event is for you!

You might be a government employee with great ideas, a social innovator or a DC resident looking to get change done.

Also – if you feel you might have something to offer, from desk space to skills to contacts or even a little money, we'd also love to hear from you!

While the venue is still be finalized, the format of the evening will be:

5:00pm Arrive and Check In

5:30pm Introduction to the event

6:00pm Social Innovation Speed Dating (pitch ideas and barter for support) 

7:00pm Match Making (matching ideas with offers of support)

7:30pm Drinks and Nibbles

Afterwards, all participants will be given access to the new beta Simpl website to add their ideas and match up with those offers of support.

You will be helping us test our tool and approach so we'll be looking for feedback wherever possible - and in return you'll make some great contacts (from inside government, non-profits or business) with the power to make your idea happen.
